In fact, the University has received the prestigious Jeanne Clery Campus Safety Award for adopting technology and other initiatives to safeguard our students 24 hours a day. The University offers a combination of services that include a public safety force managed by Securitas Security Services USA, escort services, and twenty-four-hour monitored access to all residence halls.

» It is spread over 50 acres along the sea side with land bought from renowned showman, entrepreneur, and Mayor P.T. Barnum. His statue can be sighted along the shoreline.

The UB SEAL

» The UB SEAL contains four symbolic quadrants starting the upper left quadrant and finishing in the lower right: the traditional lamp of learning is a long standing symbol of the official UB seal since 1931, the tree of life represents personal and institutional growth, the seascape illustrates the location of UB on Long Island Sound, and the Perry Arch demonstrates tradition, solid foundations and performance.
